Thanks for the positive feedback on my blog :o) The George downloads are FAB and I have never had any problems with them, I too get the transparent ones but open mine in a photo editing program. Not sure if that will make any difference, but it's worth a try coz I think some of them you can download for free from the internet. I use serif (coz I got a free CD lol)and found this link for you to try http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/
